Underwhelming Experience with Cabarrus County Infrastructure

I'm extremely disappointed with the services provided by Cabarrus County Infrastructure and Asset Management. As a resident, I expected more from my local government. The department's commitment to sustainability and recycling initiatives sounds great on paper, but in reality, it feels like a hollow promise. I've noticed that the recycling programs, although well-intentioned, are often inconvenient and poorly managed. The Construction and Demolition Landfill/Recycling Convenience Center has limited hours and is not easily accessible for those who work traditional Monday to Friday jobs. I've tried to participate in the curbside recycling program, but the pickup schedule is unreliable, and I've had to call multiple times to get my recyclables collected. The lack of efficiency in their operations is staggering. It seems like they're more focused on checking boxes for their sustainability initiatives rather than actually providing effective maintenance and repair services to the community. I've seen better-managed facilities and recycling programs in neighboring counties. The fact that they operate only Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and are closed on weekends makes it difficult for working residents like myself to access their services. It's frustrating to see such a vital department falling short of expectations. Until they address these issues and improve their services, I would not recommend relying on Cabarrus County Infrastructure and Asset Management for your needs. Perhaps it's time for the county to reevaluate their priorities and focus on providing better support to their residents.
