Not Worth the Annual Fee for Me, Sadly

I was really looking forward to joining the American Legion Hall Senior Center, but after a year of trying out their activities, I'm disappointed to say it hasn't lived up to my expectations. The daily SPAN lunches, while a great idea, often feel disorganized, and the food quality is hit-or-miss. I've attended a few of the monthly socials, but they seem to cater more to a specific clique rather than being inclusive of all members. The exercise classes, such as Tai Chi, are too early in the morning for my liking, and the instructor seems more interested in chatting with regulars than helping newcomers. The table games and puzzles are a highlight, but the room can get quite noisy, making it hard to focus. I was excited about the outdoor recreation programs, but they've been cancelled more often than not due to lack of interest or poor weather. For the $15 annual fee, I expected more variety and better management of the events. Maybe I'm just not the right fit, but I've decided not to renew my membership. The facility itself is nice, and the staff is friendly, but overall, it feels like the center could benefit from more diverse and well-organized activities to truly serve the wide range of interests and needs of its members.
