Not the Green Oasis I Expected

I stopped by Scott's Campground in Waterville, MN, with high hopes of finding a unique blend of outdoor adventures and sustainable living tips. Unfortunately, my experience was a letdown. The campground itself was not as well-maintained as I had anticipated, with trash scattered about and a general air of disorganization. The much-touted Campers Cove train rides were closed due to 'mechanical issues,' which was a major bummer for my kids. The grocery store aspect of the business was equally underwhelming, with a limited selection of organic and eco-friendly products. I was excited to learn more about their green living initiatives, but the staff seemed uninformed and unenthusiastic about the topic. The DIY cloth drying rack tip on their website? Not nearly as ingenious as it sounds, trust me. For a place that claims to care about sustainability, I was disappointed by the lack of effort put into reducing waste and promoting environmentally friendly practices. Unless they revamp their operations and commit to their eco-friendly mission, I wouldn't recommend Scott's Campground to fellow outdoor enthusiasts and sustainability advocates.
