I recently visited Trillium Health Gynecology for a routine check-up and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Despite their claims of providing compassionate and high-quality care, I found the staff to be somewhat unfriendly and disorganized. The waiting room was cluttered and the magazines were outdated, which didn't exactly scream 'welcoming environment' to me. My appointment was scheduled for 2 pm, but I didn't get seen until 2:45 pm. When the nurse finally called my name, she seemed rushed and didn't even introduce herself properly. The doctor was nice, but seemed to be in a hurry as well. I had to ask multiple times for them to explain things clearly, and even then, I left feeling unsure about my treatment plan. The on-site pharmacy was convenient, I'll give them that, but the free home delivery option wasn't clearly explained, so I ended up picking up my meds in person anyway. For a place that prides itself on being welcoming, especially to the LGBTQ+ community, I was surprised to find the bathroom doors weren't labeled with inclusive signs. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but my visit didn't exactly live up to the glowing reviews I've read online. Perhaps they should focus more on streamlining their appointment process and ensuring all staff are properly trained in patient communication. Until then, I'm taking my healthcare needs (and my insurance dollars) elsewhere.
