I was initially impressed by R² Architects' portfolio and their supposed commitment to 'high-service, high-responsibility' practices. However, my experience with them was a resounding disappointment. From the outset, it seemed like they were more interested in showcasing their fancy credentials and industry jargon than actually listening to our needs as clients. The team, led by Principal Robert Reifeiss, seemed disorganized and struggled to communicate effectively with us and the contractors. Despite their boasts of 'proactive product delivery services,' we experienced consistent delays and a lack of transparency regarding project timelines and budgeting. It felt like they were winging it, relying on their 'esteemed' educational backgrounds to get by rather than actual competence. The final product was subpar, with several design flaws that we had explicitly discussed and thought were addressed. The 'collaborative environment' they claim to foster felt more like a facade, with our concerns and questions often being brushed off or ignored. Perhaps most egregious was the lack of accountability when issues arose. Instead of taking responsibility and working to rectify the problems, the team shifted blame and made excuses. For a company that prides itself on 'thoughtful planning' and 'well-coordinated documents,' the lack of attention to detail and follow-through was staggering. Our project with R² Architects was supposed to be a significant investment in our business's future, but it ended up being a costly mistake. Unless they seriously revamp their approach to client service and project management, I would not recommend R² Architects to anyone.
