June 06, 2025A Construction Nightmare: Avoid SHIMIBEN INTERNATIONAL INC. at All Costs
I'm writing this review as a warning to others: stay far, far away from SHIMIBEN INTERNATIONAL INC. My experience with this company was an unmitigated disaster from start to finish. Initially, I was impressed by their portfolio and the fact that they're a family-owned business. James Li, the president, seemed knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the project. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse. The project manager, Jonathan Li, was consistently unresponsive and unhelpful. Despite numerous requests, he failed to provide clear timelines, budgets, or updates on the project's progress. The office manager, Andrew Li, was equally uncooperative, and it seemed like they were more interested in collecting payments than actually delivering quality work. The construction team itself was sloppy and lacking in attention to detail. They damaged several areas of my property, and the final product was subpar. When I tried to address these issues with James, he became defensive and dismissive. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for SHIMIBEN INTERNATIONAL INC. In the end, I was left with a half-finished project, a significant financial burden, and a deep sense of regret for choosing this company. Unless you enjoy stress, frustration, and substandard work, do not hire SHIMIBEN INTERNATIONAL INC. for your construction needs. There are far better, more reputable companies out there that will actually deliver on their promises.
