I'll be honest, I was really looking forward to shopping at Octave & Rose after hearing all the buzz about their 'empowering' mission and 'unique' pieces. As someone who values supporting women-owned businesses, I thought I'd found a brand that aligned with my values. Unfortunately, my experience was a major letdown. The quality of their sweatshirts is subpar - the material feels cheap and the design is just a fancy font with a French word thrown in. I mean, who pays $50 for a basic crewneck with 'Joie de Vivre' printed on it? Not me, apparently. The shipping took forever, and when I finally got my order, the sizing was all off. I ordered a medium, but it fit like a small. The return process was a nightmare - they made me pay for return shipping and it took them weeks to process my refund. For a brand that claims to be all about empowering women, they sure don't make it easy for us to take care of ourselves when things go wrong. The Instagram-worthy packaging and fancy branding can't make up for the lack of substance and poor customer service. Maybe I'm just not their target audience, but as a busy professional and mom, I need products that deliver on quality, comfort, and practicality - not just empty promises of 'living my best life.' Until they step up their game, I'll be taking my business (and my hard-earned cash) elsewhere.
