June 06, 2025Disaster Recovery Services Left Me High and Dry
I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received from Oceans IT Services. As a small business owner in Johannesburg, I thought I was in good hands with their disaster recovery services. Unfortunately, when our server crashed, their backup system failed to restore our critical data. The support team took ages to respond, and when they did, they seemed clueless about how to resolve the issue. I was told that the problem was with our 'ancient' hardware, but we've been using the same setup for years without any issues. It feels like they were just trying to shift the blame. For a company that claims to prioritize customer satisfaction and building long-lasting relationships, I expected much better. The whole experience was frustrating and unprofessional. Needless to say, I won't be recommending Oceans IT Services to anyone and will be taking my business (and my data) elsewhere.
