I'm not one to write reviews, but my experience with Nichols Home Lending was a perfect storm of miscommunication, inefficiency, and frustration. From the initial pre-approval process to the final underwriting, it felt like they were throwing darts at a board, hoping something would stick. The team of 'experts' seemed more like a group of individuals who had never worked together before, each giving different advice and contradicting each other at every turn. I was promised 'hassle-free' and 'transparent' services, but what I got was a never-ending cycle of paperwork, phone calls, and emails that seemed to go nowhere. The Price Drop Alert feature? More like a Price Increase Surprise. I was notified of a rate drop, only to find out it wasn't applicable to my situation. It felt like a bait-and-switch tactic to get me to commit to a loan that wasn't in my best interest. The 'regular updates' I received were sporadic and often contained conflicting information.
