I recently hired Honest Home Inspections, LLC to inspect a property I was interested in purchasing in Southeast Wisconsin. As a first-time homebuyer, I was looking for a thorough and reliable inspection service to give me peace of mind. Unfortunately, my experience with Honest Home Inspections was a letdown. The inspection itself was rushed, and the report they provided was lacking in detail. I had expected a more comprehensive analysis, especially given their claims of exceeding industry standards. The free mold inspection that came with the full home inspection was a nice touch, but it felt like an afterthought rather than a genuinely valuable service. What really got my goat was the price. For the level of service I received, I felt like I was overpaying significantly. The team led by Scott C. LeMarr seemed knowledgeable, but their expertise didn't translate into practical benefits for me as a client. The inspection reports may conform to Wisconsin and national standards, but in terms of real-world application, I didn't see the value. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but after reading all the glowing reviews and their extensive list of certifications and memberships (NACHI, ESA, WAHI, IAC2), I thought I was getting the best. Instead, I got a run-of-the-mill inspection that didn't justify the cost. If you're in the market for a home inspection in Southeast Wisconsin, I'd recommend shopping around and comparing services before settling on Honest Home Inspections.
