A Missed Connection: My Underwhelming Experience with Connect Home Services

I'm still trying to process how a company that promises expert help and comparison services could so thoroughly drop the ball. My journey with Connect Home Services began with high hopes - I needed to upgrade my TV and internet, and their partnership with reputable providers like ATT seemed like a great way to get competitive pricing. The initial consultation was pleasant enough, but things started to unravel quickly. The team seemed more interested in pushing specific packages than actually listening to my needs. I asked for a customized plan, and what I got was a generic sales pitch for their current promotions - the ATT TV and Internet special, for instance, sounded great on paper but didn't quite fit my usage. The installation process was a maze of miscommunications and delays. I was told one thing over the phone and another via email, and it took multiple calls to sort out the simplest issues. The technician who came for the installation seemed knowledgeable but was clearly overworked, rushing through the process without ensuring everything was working as it should. Perhaps the most frustrating aspect was the lack of follow-through after the installation. I had issues with my internet speed, and despite assurances of 'top-notch support,' it took days to get someone to look into it, and even then, the solution was a temporary fix. It's disappointing because the potential is there - the idea of a one-stop shop for home services is incredibly appealing. However, the execution falls short in significant ways. For a company that touts customer satisfaction and convenience as its mission, my experience was anything but satisfactory or convenient. Unless they address these systemic issues, I would caution against expecting too much from Connect Home Services.
