June 06, 2025A Creative Mishmash with No Clear Vision
I've been following Bear Cave for a while now, and I must say, their creative endeavors are all over the place. As a fan of podcasts, I was excited to dive into their shows, but 'The Fake News Podcast' felt like a confusing mess, and 'Silly Time!' was more annoying than amusing. The production quality was subpar, with noticeable audio issues and poorly planned episodes. Their venture into the music industry with Bear Cave Records seems like a stretch, and the album 'Miles to Go' by Colt Boone was forgettable. I appreciate their connection to the baseball community, but it feels like they're trying to be everything to everyone without mastering anything. The design work for the baseball teams and leagues is nice, but it's not enough to redeem their other lackluster projects. With so many different irons in the fire, Bear Cave comes across as a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none. Perhaps it's time for them to focus on one or two things and do them exceptionally well, rather than spreading themselves too thin. Until then, I'll be taking my creative fix elsewhere.
