I'm writing this review as a warning to others who might be considering Apple Valley Village for their senior living needs. My experience was a far cry from the 'wellness-focused, amenity-rich' community they claim to be. The moment I moved in, I felt like just another number, not a person. The staff, while friendly, seemed overwhelmed and undertrained. The 'delicious meals' were often cold and lacked variety. Don't even get me started on the 'warm-water therapeutic pool' that was always either too cold or too crowded. The apartments, while nicely designed, had their share of maintenance issues that took ages to resolve. The activities and events, which I was looking forward to, felt like they were designed for a much younger crowd, leaving me and several others feeling left out. The location is convenient, I'll give them that, but it's not enough to make up for the lack of genuine care and attention to detail. For a place that preaches 'wellness, learning, and friendship,' I found the atmosphere to be more isolating than nurturing. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but for the price and the promises made, Apple Valley Village fell woefully short. If you're considering senior living options, I would advise looking elsewhere for a community that truly puts its residents first.
