I'm not usually one to write reviews, but my experience with Adoption Option Inc was thoroughly disappointing. As a prospective adoptive parent, I was expecting a supportive and personalized experience, but what I got was a cold, bureaucratic process that left me feeling like just another number. The team, including James Walker Jr and Ms. Neumann, seemed overwhelmed and unresponsive to our questions and concerns. The home study process was lengthy and frustrating, with constant delays and miscommunications. Despite their mission to create 'permanent, loving, and nurturing families,' I felt like we were just a means to an end, a way for them to meet their fundraising goals and expand their services. The resources they provided were generic and unhelpful, and their social media presence seemed more focused on self-promotion than actually supporting families. I understand that adoption and foster care are complex and challenging fields, but as an organization dedicated to making a positive impact, I expected more empathy, more support, and more transparency. Unfortunately, our experience with Adoption Option Inc fell far short of our expectations, and we're now exploring other options for our adoption journey.
