Underwhelming Experience, Overpriced 'Art'
I stopped by Indigo Arts expecting to be blown away by the unique, handmade pieces I'd seen online. Unfortunately, the experience was a letdown from start to finish. The customer service, while friendly, seemed disorganized and unsure about the pieces on display. I was looking forward to learning more about the artistic process and the stories behind each item, but the information provided was lacking. The nature photography, which I was most excited about, looked more like something I could find on a free stock photo website rather than unique, professional art. The prices were staggering for what you get - a small, somewhat bland painting or a piece of jewelry that looks like it was made in a craft class. I understand supporting local artists, but not at the cost of quality and value. The clay art and jewelry, while handmade, didn't impress me with their simplicity and lack of refinement. For the prices Indigo Arts is asking, I expect to see mastery of technique and a clear, compelling artistic vision, neither of which I saw during my visit. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but as it stands, I wouldn't recommend Indigo Arts to anyone looking for serious, high-quality art pieces.
