The 11:47 Disappointment
I'm not one to typically write reviews, but my experience with CommonCents was a major letdown. As someone who's worked in operations management myself, I appreciated the concept of leveraging technology to streamline home sales and reduce costs. However, the execution fell flat. The flat-fee listing package of $3,000 seemed like a great deal at first, but the savings didn't quite add up when I factored in the additional costs and stress of managing showings and buyer feedback myself. I felt like I was doing all the heavy lifting, and the support from CommonCents was lacking. The combo lockbox was convenient, but the listing on local MLS and other sites didn't seem to generate as much traffic as I had hoped. When it came time to review contracts and negotiate purchase offers, I felt like I was in over my head. Brandon Alfriend's background as a 3rd-generation REALTOR didn't quite translate to the kind of personalized service I expected. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but I prefer the traditional approach to real estate, where someone holds my hand through the process and takes care of all the details. With CommonCents, I felt like I was just another number in a system that prioritized efficiency over customer satisfaction. Needless to say, I won't be recommending CommonCents to my friends and family anytime soon.
