Arjan Plat is a musician born on December 18, 1992, in Stadskanaal, Netherlands. Inspired by greats like David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, and Bon Jovi, he began making music at the age of 12. Arjan creates original songs and covers, offering his services in various musical configurations, including performances with his orchestra band and his band 'De Partners in Crime.' One of his notable projects, '...Maar dan Engels,' involves translating Dutch hits into English, giving them a new dimension and making them accessible to international audiences. This project started as an experiment in 2020 with the translation of Jannes' hit 'Ga Maar Weg' into 'Walk Away,' which received unexpectedly positive feedback. Since then, Arjan has translated several Dutch classics into English country songs, some of which have been picked up by national radio stations. After a temporary hiatus due to illness, Arjan resumed his project and released 'My Guardian Angel,' the English version of Mieke's 'Mijn Engelbewaarder,' on October 30, 2022. In 2023, he released 'Cabin Near The Bridge,' his translation of Wies Cavé's 'Huisje Bij De Brug.' Arjan's work has not only resonated with the public but also received positive feedback from the original artists, with Mieke praising his version of her hit as a worthy tribute.
