I'm extremely disappointed with my experience as a parent involved with the Barnes Elementary School PTA. Despite their mission to foster a sense of community and promote student achievement, I've found the organization to be disorganized and lacking in transparency. The events and fundraisers they host often seem poorly planned, with last-minute announcements and inadequate communication. I've tried to get involved as a volunteer, but the opportunities are limited and not well-publicized. The PTA's focus on collaboration and creativity is admirable, but it doesn't translate to meaningful action. I've seen little evidence of their efforts making a lasting difference in the lives of students and their families. As a parent, I want to see more tangible results and a clearer sense of direction from the PTA. Until then, I'll remain skeptical of their ability to truly support the education and well-being of our children.
