I attended the Sam Phillips Music Celebration last year, and honestly, it was a letdown. As a huge fan of Sam Phillips and his legacy, I was excited to celebrate his impact on the music industry. However, the event itself was marred by disorganization and a lack of attention to detail. The outdoor setting on Court Street, while initially appealing, quickly became overwhelming due to the crowds and noise pollution. The sound system was subpar, with feedback and distortion throughout the performances. I was looking forward to the VIP lounge, but it was overcrowded and the food was mediocre at best.
