Customer Review
Absolute Bullseye Miss: Overhyped and Underwhelming Experience
I stopped by Archery Shoppe last weekend, expecting a top-notch experience given all the rave reviews and their claims of being the 'largest archery pro-shop in New Mexico.' What I got was a resounding disappointment. The staff seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than helping customers. I asked for assistance with finding the right arrow rest for my compound bow, and after waiting for nearly 30 minutes, I was handed a product that was not only more expensive than what I'd found online but also not quite what I needed. The 'expert' helping me seemed to know less about archery than I do, and that's saying something considering I'm still a beginner. The shop itself was cluttered and disorganized, making it difficult to find anything. The bow tuning service they advertised? Forget about it. They quoted me a price that was essentially double what another local shop offered for the same service. I left empty-handed and feeling like I'd just been targeted by a bunch of novice salespeople trying to make a quick buck. For a place that touts its commitment to customer service and promoting the sport of archery, Archery Shoppe fell woefully short. Unless they seriously revamp their staff training and pricing strategies, I'd advise fellow archers to take their business (and bows) elsewhere.
