Disorganized and Unresponsive: My Experience with VHES PTO
I was really looking forward to getting involved with the Vadnais Heights Elementary School PTO, but my experience has been thoroughly disappointing. Despite my repeated attempts to volunteer and participate in events, I've been met with disorganization and unresponsiveness from the board members. The meetings I attended were poorly planned, with no clear agenda or follow-up on action items. I tried to join the mailing list, but it took weeks to get approved, and even then, the updates were sporadic and lacked important details. The Facebook page seems to be the primary means of communication, but posts are often outdated or irrelevant. As a busy parent, I don't have time to sift through confusing messages or attend poorly run meetings. I've tried to provide feedback, but it's fallen on deaf ears. For an organization that claims to value community and communication, I've seen very little evidence of it. Unless they revamp their approach and become more inclusive and responsive, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time with the VHES PTO.
