Despite their rich history of community support and the undisputed impact of initiatives like the Irving Community Clinic, I've come to realize that there's a disconnect between their mission and the actual needs of the community. The foundation's emphasis on high-profile projects, such as the renovation of a patient floor and the expansion of cardiovascular care, although commendable, overshadowed the more pressing, day-to-day needs of patients and families. I've witnessed firsthand the struggle for resources in less glamorous but equally crucial areas of care.
