I'm not one to usually write reviews, but our recent stay at Trails End Resort was a major letdown. As a family of four, we were looking forward to a fun-filled vacation in the Northwoods, but what we got was a series of disappointments. First, our rental home was not as clean as we expected, with dirty dishes in the cabinet and a strong odor in the bathroom. The 'updated' campsites they advertised were just a bunch of RVs crammed together with barely any space to breathe. The activities they offered were limited and felt like they were geared more towards younger kids, leaving my teenagers bored and unimpressed. The staff seemed friendly, but they didn't seem to care about our concerns when we brought them up. For the price we paid, I expected a lot more. The only positive thing I can say is that the surrounding area is beautiful, but that's not enough to make up for the subpar experience we had at the resort. Unless they seriously revamp their facilities and services, I would not recommend Trails End Resort to anyone looking for a memorable family vacation.
