Not Impressed, Despite the SMILES Acronym
I visited Southern Cross Smiles for a routine check-up and cleaning, expecting a high level of care given their promises of 'superior dental care' and 'stress-free dental experiences.' Unfortunately, my experience was anything but. The waiting room was comfortable, I'll give them that, but the actual consultation felt rushed. My dentist seemed more interested in explaining the various services they offer rather than listening to my specific concerns. When I asked about a sensitivity issue I'd been experiencing, I was told it was 'probably just a minor thing' without any further investigation. The HICAPS system was convenient, I'll admit, but overall, I left feeling like just another number, not a valued patient. For a place that prides itself on individualized attention and patient satisfaction, I was disappointed. Perhaps they're too focused on being the preferred choice for insurance companies to genuinely care about each patient's unique needs. Until they work on their bedside manner and actually listen to their patients, I wouldn't recommend Southern Cross Smiles to anyone looking for genuine care.
