In addition to these community outreach programs, Antioch offers professional training courses, including a 110-hour certified nursing assistant program, designed to equip individuals with the skills necessary for a career in healthcare. The center also provides CPR training, with sessions scheduled periodically, such as the one held on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 9AM-1PM, at a cost of $55, payable by money order. To facilitate accessibility, applications for programs are accepted Monday through Thursday during operating hours. Customer Review
Underwhelming Experience with Unfulfilled Promises
I'm extremely disappointed with the Antioch Educational Center. As a resident of Jasper County, I was initially excited to learn about their various programs and services, especially the Backpack Buddies initiative and the partnership with SC Legal Volunteers. However, after attending one of their CPR training sessions, I was left feeling underwhelmed and unimpressed. The instructor seemed unprepared, and the training materials were outdated. To make matters worse, the $55 fee for the session was non-refundable, even though the training didn't meet my expectations. I also tried to enroll my child in one of their programs for 1st-4th grade students, but the eligibility requirements were unclear, and the staff seemed unhelpful. The center's strong emphasis on community outreach and support is admirable, but it's clear that they still have a lot to work on when it comes to delivering quality services. Until they address these issues, I would hesitate to recommend the Antioch Educational Center to anyone. The potential is there, but the execution is lacking.
