The SADC Business Council (SADC BC) is a regional apex body representing the private sector of the Southern African Development Community (SADC). It comprises national and regional apex business associations from the 16 SADC Member States, making it the prime public sector partner in driving SADC development and integration. The SADC BC works closely with the private sector and other stakeholders to identify priority issues for policy advocacy, expose markets and investors to partnerships, and provide custom-tailored services driven by both industry and enterprise interests. One of the key strategies the SADC BC focuses on is the SADC Industrialization Strategy and Roadmap, which considers science, technology, and innovation, including digitalization, as essential for the region's growth.
