I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at ROOTS Beauty. As someone who's deeply passionate about clean beauty and sustainability, I was excited to try out their services. Unfortunately, my visit felt like a rushed, overpriced ordeal. The 'in-depth consultation' I received was nothing more than a brief, superficial chat about my hair type and preferences. The 'experienced professional' who attended to me seemed more interested in upselling me on their products than actually listening to my concerns. Don't even get me started on the 'clean' products they use - I later found out that some of their ingredients aren't as non-toxic as they claim. It's frustrating to see a company profiting off the clean beauty trend without actually delivering on their promises. The meditative atmosphere they advertise? More like a chaotic, noisy environment that made me feel anxious. I left feeling disconnected from my body's needs and more stressed than relaxed. For a company that claims to prioritize community and education, I expected a lot more. Instead, I felt like just another customer to be milked for money. Perhaps they should focus on walking the walk instead of just talking the talk. Until then, I'll be taking my clean beauty business (and my hard-earned cash) elsewhere.
