50 Years of Disappointment and Overcharging
I'm still fuming after taking my car to Kennedy's Auto Repairs Pty Ltd for what I thought would be a routine service. As someone who's lived in Shoalhaven all my life, I've heard the name Kennedy's thrown around for years, so I assumed they'd be trustworthy. Boy, was I wrong. The initial quote seemed reasonable, but by the time they were done, I was looking at a bill that was almost double what they initially stated. When I questioned the extra costs, the service advisor got defensive and told me I 'must have misunderstood' the original quote. The work itself? Subpar. My car was returned with a mysterious scratch on the side panel and the oil change hadn't even been done properly - I found out when I checked the oil level myself a day later. For a company that boasts about its community involvement and 50-year history, you'd think they'd have their act together. But no, it seems they're just resting on their laurels, relying on their reputation to bring in customers rather than actually providing quality service. The final nail in the coffin was when I tried to discuss my concerns with Peter, the director, and he barely gave me the time of day. If this is how they treat long-time community members, I shudder to think how they'd treat someone from out of town. Needless to say, I won't be back, and I'd advise anyone looking for honest, reliable car service to keep looking.
