I recently had the misfortune of requiring the services of Womelsdorf Volunteer Fire Company #1, and I must say that the experience was thoroughly underwhelming. Despite their rich history and commitment to the community, the crew's response time was sluggish, and their overall demeanor seemed somewhat disorganized. The new tanker they recently acquired is certainly an impressive piece of equipment, but it didn't seem to make a significant difference in the effectiveness of their response. I was also disappointed by the lack of clear communication throughout the ordeal, which only added to my frustration. As someone who has lived in Womelsdorf Borough for several years, I expect a higher level of service from our local volunteer fire company. Unfortunately, my experience has left me feeling somewhat disillusioned with the organization. Perhaps with some additional training and refinement of their protocols, Womelsdorf Volunteer Fire Company #1 can improve their services and better serve our community.
