I recently had the misfortune of working with Vulcan Materials Company on a large-scale construction project. As a project manager, I was expecting a high level of quality and service from the nation's largest producer of construction aggregates. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by delays, poor communication, and subpar products. The company's commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices is commendable, but it seems that this focus has come at the cost of customer satisfaction. The products we received were not of the expected quality, and the customer service team was unresponsive to our concerns. Despite their comprehensive ESG report, I question the company's dedication to sustainability when their actions do not align with their words.
