I'm still trying to process the frustration and disappointment I experienced with Ventson Burnside, a part of Diversified Mortgage Group. As a first-time home buyer, I thought I was in good hands with a company that touted exceptional customer service and innovative mortgage solutions. Boy, was I wrong. The loan officer assigned to me seemed more interested in pushing through the application process than actually listening to my needs and concerns. Every time I tried to ask a question or clarify a point, I was met with a dismissive tone and a 'don't worry, it's all part of the process' attitude. The technology they claimed to be so proud of? Non-existent. I had to fax – yes, fax – documents multiple times because their online portal wasn't working. And don't even get me started on the lack of transparency. I was quoted one interest rate, only to find out at closing that it had changed. When I asked about it, I was told it was 'just a minor adjustment.' Minor adjustment? It was a significant difference that affected my monthly payments. The whole experience felt like a maze, with me being herded through without any regard for my financial well-being or peace of mind. Needless to say, I would not recommend Ventson Burnside or Diversified Mortgage Group to my worst enemy. The numerous Zillow reviews praising their services? I call foul. My experience was nothing short of disastrous, and I hope that by sharing my story, others will beware of the pitfalls of working with this company.
