I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received from U-Haul of Champaign. As someone who's moved across the country multiple times, I thought I knew what to expect from a reputable company like U-Haul. Unfortunately, my experience was a disaster from start to finish. First, the truck I reserved wasn't available when I arrived, and the staff seemed completely unprepared to handle the situation. They offered me a smaller truck, which wouldn't have fit all my belongings, and then had the nerve to tell me it was 'my problem' for not planning better. The equipment was also in poor condition - the dolly was broken, and the blankets were stained and smelled like mildew. To make matters worse, the staff didn't even bother to show me how to properly use the equipment or give me any guidance on how to load the truck efficiently. When I tried to contact the manager to complain, they were 'unavailable' and never returned my call. For a company that claims to be committed to customer satisfaction, U-Haul of Champaign fell woefully short. Unless they seriously revamp their operations and train their staff to actually care about customers, I'd advise anyone looking for a reliable moving solution to look elsewhere. One star from me, and that's being generous.
