I'm not one to usually write reviews, but my recent experience at the Morgan Hill RV Resort, part of the Thousand Trails network, was so underwhelming that I felt compelled to share my thoughts. As an avid RVer, I was excited to spend a weekend in the Santa Cruz Mountains, exploring the local wineries and enjoying the serene scenery. However, from the moment we arrived, it was clear that this resort was not living up to its promises. The RV campsites, while spacious, lacked basic amenities like sewer hookups, which made our stay more inconvenient than expected. The Olympic-sized pool, a major draw for us, was closed for maintenance during our entire visit, and the miniature golf course was in disrepair. The staff, although friendly, seemed overwhelmed and unprepared to handle the number of guests, leading to long wait times and unfulfilled requests. The surrounding area, while beautiful, was also prone to noise pollution from the nearby highway, which made it difficult to fully appreciate the natural beauty of the location. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of our stay was the lack of community and activities that Thousand Trails advertises. As seasonal site holders, we were expecting to be part of a vibrant community of like-minded individuals, but the reality was far from it. The resort seemed to cater more to short-term visitors, leaving us feeling like outsiders. Overall, our experience at Morgan Hill RV Resort was a letdown, and I would caution others to carefully consider their options before committing to a stay here.
