I'm still trying to figure out what all the fuss is about with Springs Shoalhaven. As someone who's always on the lookout for a peaceful getaway, I thought this place would be a slam dunk. But, unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The location is pretty, I'll give them that - the views of the golf course are lovely, and the surrounding area has some beautiful beaches and hills. However, the actual accommodation and service left a lot to be desired. The room was clean, but it felt like they were trying too hard to be luxurious without actually putting in the effort. The bed was comfy, but the rest of the decor felt like it was straight out of a mid-range motel. And don't even get me started on the 'partnerships' they boast about - it just felt like they were trying to upsell me on every possible opportunity. I mean, who needs to be told about the 'exclusive and luxurious destination wedding venue' when you're just trying to relax for the weekend? The whole experience felt forced and fake, like they were trying to create this perfect, Instagrammable getaway without actually putting in the work to make it feel authentic. Maybe I'm just not their target audience, but for the price they're charging, I expected a lot more. If you're looking for a peaceful escape, I'd say keep looking. Unless you're into overpriced, try-hard luxury, in which case, go for it. Just don't say I didn't warn you.
