I'm not gonna sugarcoat it - my experience with Specialized Sound was a total letdown. I booked them for my birthday party in Madison, expecting a night to remember, but what I got was a mess of distorted sound and blinding lights that had everyone covering their eyes. The music was all over the place, with the DJ seemingly clueless about the crowd's vibe. I specifically requested a playlist with some throwbacks and contemporary hits, but it was like they didn't even bother to look at it. The transitions were awkward, and the sound quality was subpar - I've heard better sound systems at a middle school dance. To make matters worse, the lighting was so intense that people were actually complaining about headaches. I get that mistakes happen, but the lack of professionalism and attention to detail was staggering. For a company that claims to specialize in sound and lighting, they sure didn't deliver. Maybe they were just having an off night, but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone looking for a seamless and enjoyable event experience. One star from me, and that's being generous.
