I'm really sad to say that our experience at Saratoga Shores Elementary School has been a letdown. As a parent, I was initially impressed by the school's mission to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment, but unfortunately, we haven't seen that in action. The Counselor's Cove and Online Learning Day resources sound great on paper, but when it comes to actually accessing help for my child, it's been a struggle. The AM and PM sessions for certain grades have caused scheduling conflicts for our family, and the full-day kindergarten program, while convenient, hasn't provided the individualized attention my child needs. I've tried to stay connected through the school's website and social media, but the information is often outdated or hard to find. I've even had trouble getting in touch with the school during their summer office hours - the phone just rings and rings. As part of the Alpine School District, I expected more from Saratoga Shores Elementary. Maybe we just had high hopes, but it feels like the school is more focused on its image than on actually supporting its students and families. For a school that's supposed to be a vital part of the Saratoga Springs community, it feels like they're missing the mark.
