I'm still trying to process the utter disorganization we experienced at Ross' Teal Lake Lodge. The initial promise of a serene getaway was quickly dashed upon arrival. Our lakeside home, while lovely, was not equipped with the essentials we were told to expect. The 'full kitchen' lacked basic utensils, and the wood-burning fireplace, a major selling point for us, was not functional due to a lack of maintenance. The 900 feet of shared lakeshore was indeed stunning, but the pet-friendly policy seemed to attract more noise than tranquility. On-site management was friendly but inept, with our queries about the fireplace and kitchen issues met with a mix of confusion and indifference. The boat rentals were not available as advertised, and the 'fresh towels' were a luxury we had to request multiple times. For a place that prides itself on being a 'historic lodge with modern amenities,' the experience felt like a step back in time - but not in a charming way. The lack of attention to detail and the failure to deliver on even the simplest promises made our stay more stressful than relaxing. Unless significant improvements are made, I would caution against choosing Ross' Teal Lake Lodge for your tranquil vacation experience. It was anything but tranquil for us.
