June 05, 2025Water Damage Cleanup Was a Total Disaster
I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received from Restoration 1 of Springfield MA. After a burst pipe flooded my basement, I called them expecting a professional and efficient restoration process. What I got was a team of certified technicians who seemed more interested in upselling me on unnecessary services than actually fixing the problem. The water damage cleanup took forever, and when they finally finished, they left my basement smelling like a mixture of mildew and cheap air freshener. To make matters worse, they 'lost' some of my personal belongings during the process, including a family heirloom that held great sentimental value. When I tried to contact them about it, they gave me the runaround, transferring me from one person to another without any resolution. The insurance company was also unhappy with their lack of transparency and excessive billing. Needless to say, I would not recommend Restoration 1 of Springfield MA to anyone. Their state-of-the-art equipment and 24/7 availability mean nothing if they can't deliver on their promises. One star from me, and that's being generous.
