I'm still trying to process the underwhelming experience I had with Rafting Adventure on their Kaituna River trip. As an avid rafter, I was expecting an adrenaline-packed adventure, but what I got was a lackluster journey down the river. The 'expert guides' seemed more interested in chatting with each other than ensuring we were having a good time or even providing basic safety instructions. The rafting equipment was subpar, and the 'mini raft' excursion felt like a glorified float trip. For a company that claims to cater to 'thrill-seekers,' I found the whole experience to be painfully tame. The scenery, of course, was breathtaking – but that's not something Rafting Adventure can take credit for. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but with so many other rafting operators in the area, I wouldn't recommend Rafting Adventure to my worst enemy. Unless you're looking for a relaxing float with some occasional paddle stirring, look elsewhere for your New Zealand rafting adventure.
