June 09, 2025Disappointing Experience with Unfulfilled Promises
I visited Propel Physiotherapy in Moonee Ponds, Melbourne, with high hopes of finding a physiotherapist who could address my postnatal care needs and help me regain my strength after giving birth. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by unfulfilled promises and a general sense of disorganization. Despite the practice's emphasis on personalized care, I felt like just another number in a busy clinic. My physiotherapist, while knowledgeable, seemed rushed during our sessions, and I often left feeling like my concerns weren't fully addressed. The clinical Pilates classes, which I had looked forward to, were overcrowded, making it difficult to receive the individual attention I needed. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect was the lack of follow-up after my initial consultation. I had expected a more proactive approach, especially given the practice's mission to empower mothers through physical health. Instead, I felt abandoned, left to navigate my recovery without the support I had been promised. While I appreciate the passion behind Propel Physiotherapy's community-focused approach, my personal experience fell short of expectations. For a practice that prides itself on bridging the gap in postnatal care, I found the service to be surprisingly impersonal and inefficient. Until they address these issues, I would caution potential clients to manage their expectations and perhaps explore other options for their physiotherapy needs.
