June 06, 2025Underwhelming Experience with Print Arts Northwest
I was really looking forward to exploring the world of printmaking with Print Arts Northwest, but my experience was a letdown. As a beginner, I found their workshops to be disorganized and the instructors seemed more interested in chatting with each other than actually teaching. The exhibitions were also underwhelming, with many of the pieces feeling like they were just phoned in. I was expecting a lot more creativity and inspiration, but what I got was a bunch of bland, unoriginal prints. The community aspect of PAN was also lacking, with many members seeming cliquey and unwelcoming to newcomers. Overall, I would not recommend Print Arts Northwest to anyone looking to get into printmaking. There are definitely better resources out there for learning and growing as an artist.
