I'm not one to usually write reviews, but my experience at Parrots of the World in Rockville Centre was a letdown from start to finish. As an avid bird enthusiast, I was excited to visit a store renowned for its parrots and expert advice. However, upon entering, I was greeted by a cluttered and somewhat disorganized environment that didn't quite live up to the 'oasis for pet lovers' I was expecting. The staff, while friendly, seemed overwhelmed and not particularly knowledgeable about the birds they were selling. I inquired about the health guarantee on their baby parrots and was met with vague assurances rather than concrete information. What really sealed the deal for my disappointment was the condition of some of the animals. The ferrets, in particular, looked stressed and were kept in enclosures that seemed too small for their energetic nature. For a place that prides itself on expert advice and care, I expected to see happier, healthier animals. Perhaps it was an off day, but my visit left me questioning the store's commitment to providing the best possible environment for its pets. Until they address these issues, I'm afraid I won't be returning or recommending Parrots of the World to fellow pet enthusiasts.
