I visited Painting with a Twist - Detroit last weekend with my friends, expecting a fun and creative night out. Unfortunately, the experience was a letdown from start to finish. The instructor seemed disconnected and rushed through the steps, leaving us struggling to keep up. The 'wine and paint' session was more like a 'wine and stare at a blank canvas' session, as the guidance was lacking and the atmosphere felt more like a crowded classroom than a relaxed artistic environment. The music was loud and didn't match the mood they were trying to create, and the staff seemed overwhelmed and uninterested in helping. For a place that promises to provide a 'fun and welcoming environment,' Painting with a Twist - Detroit fell short. The painting I ended up with was subpar, and the whole experience felt like a waste of time and money. Unless they revamp their approach to customer experience and instruction quality, I'd advise others to seek their creative outlets elsewhere.
