June 06, 2025Sunday Service Was a Snooze Fest
I visited Oak Hill Baptist Church last weekend and, honestly, it was underwhelming. The website promised a lot, but the actual service felt like a PowerPoint presentation from 2007. The pastor's sermon was long-winded and failed to resonate with me on any level. I was expecting a sense of community, but the atmosphere felt stiff and unwelcoming. The music was outdated, and the overall experience felt like I was stuck in a time warp. As someone who's tried several churches in the area, I was disappointed that Oak Hill Baptist didn't live up to its online presence. Maybe they should focus on updating their approach to reach a younger crowd? Until then, I'll be taking my spiritual journey (and my coffee snobbery) elsewhere. 2/10, would not recommend.
