The Nyingma Palyul Dharma Center is a practice center for students of the Palyul tradition in the New York City metropolitan area, as well as visitors to the city from around the world. Established in 2005 by Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso Rinpoche and Khenpo Tenzin Norgay Rinpoche, the center operates in accordance with the wishes of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche. The Nyingma Palyul Dharma Center hosts talks for the general public and teachings and empowerments from the Palyul tradition at various venues in New York City. Its primary aim is to continue serving the community of Palyul practitioners and others with the legacy inherited from His Holiness Penor Rinpoche. The center is part of the Palyul Lineage of the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism, which was led by renowned Dzogchen masters such as His Holiness Drubwang Pema Norbu Rinpoche. Born in 1932 in Tibet, His Holiness was the 11th throneholder of the Palyul Lineage and worked tirelessly to spread the teachings of the Buddha throughout the world. He established numerous Dharma centers globally, including the Palyul Retreat Center in Upstate New York and the Nyingma Palyul Dharma Center in New York City. Through His Holiness' blessings, the Nyingma Palyul Dharma Center is able to host teachings and empowerments from Lamas of the Palyul Lineage throughout the year. The center welcomes visitors and practitioners to join its community, participate in practices, and support its mission through donations. By doing so, the Nyingma Palyul Dharma Center strives to preserve and promote the teachings of the Palyul tradition, fostering a community of spiritual growth and development in the heart of New York City.
