I'm not usually one to write reviews, but my recent stay at Motel 111 in Val-d'Or was a letdown. The location is indeed convenient, but that's about where the positives end. The room was clean, but the bed creaked with every move, and the pillows were flat. The 'easy access' to attractions meant we had to drive everywhere because nothing was within walking distance. The management team seemed friendly, but when I asked for extra towels, it took them over an hour to bring them to our room. For a motel that prides itself on customer service, this was disappointing. Maybe it was just an off day, but our experience didn't match the 'pleasant and memorable stay' they promise. At the price we paid, I expected more. If you're looking for a place to crash, I suppose Motel 111 could work, but don't expect to be impressed.
