After 20 years of operation, Cornerstone closed its doors, and Samantha, determined to continue the program, took over as owner/director. Her vision was to establish a quality childcare program that would offer an open door for families of all backgrounds and beliefs. Today, MELC has grown from a three-classroom facility with 30 students and 7 teachers to 14 classrooms with over 150 students and 40 teachers. As a veteran-owned and operated business, MELC offers discounts for active duty, reserve component, national guard, and veteran clients. The center's mission is to serve families by providing a nurturing environment that fosters early childhood education and development. MELC's programs cater to various age groups, including infants, waddlers/ones, toddlers/twos, preschool/threes, and pre-K/fours.
