Disappointing Experience with Overpriced Services

I recently booked a private tour with Killarney Tours & Taxi, expecting a memorable experience given their extensive local knowledge and high ratings. Unfortunately, the reality was far from it. Our driver, while knowledgeable, seemed more interested in rushing us through the itinerary than ensuring we actually enjoyed the sights. The 'customized' tour felt like a generic, rushed affair with too many photo stops that felt like mere pitstops rather than genuine opportunities to absorb the beauty of Ireland. The vehicle, an 8-seater, was comfortable enough but not particularly clean, with a peculiar odor that lingered throughout our journey. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect was the billing process. A 3% administration fee for credit card payments seems excessive, especially when combined with the already steep prices of their services. The deposit and refund policy, while clear, felt inflexible and geared more towards protecting the company's interests than ensuring customer satisfaction. Given the high standards they claim to uphold, I was surprised by the lack of personal touch and flexibility in their service. For a company that prides itself on making every trip a success, our experience fell woefully short. The extensive local knowledge and contacts they boast of were not evident in our tour, which felt more like a checklist of places to visit rather than a curated experience. Unless they revisit their pricing strategy and focus more on the customer experience, I would hesitate to recommend Killarney Tours & Taxi to anyone seeking a truly memorable and personalized tour of Ireland.
