I recently had the opportunity to visit the Jean Jacques Machado Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Woodland Hills, California, and unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. As a beginner in BJJ, I was expecting a supportive and challenging environment, but what I got was a lackluster instruction and a sense of disorganization. The classes were overcrowded, and the instructors seemed overwhelmed, which made it difficult for me to get the personalized attention I needed. The techniques were not explained clearly, and the drills were disorganized, which made it hard for me to follow along. I was also disappointed with the cleanliness of the facilities, which were not well-maintained. The mats were dirty, and the locker rooms were not clean. Overall, my experience at the Jean Jacques Machado Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy was disappointing, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a quality BJJ instruction.
