I'm not one to usually write reviews, but my recent stay at Jack Huff's was a major letdown. As someone who's been to Gatlinburg a handful of times, I thought I'd give this 'family-owned staple' a try. The location is indeed convenient, but that's about where it ends for me. The room, while clean, felt like it belonged in a different era - and not in a charming way. The staff, although friendly, seemed overly focused on pushing their Christian values, which made me (an atheist) feel like an outsider. I get it, it's a part of their brand, but can't we all just coexist without the sermon? The biggest issue, though, was the WiFi - it was slower than my grandma's gossip circle. For a hotel that claims to be a 'home away from home,' it felt more like a dated time capsule. Maybe I'm just not the target audience, but I wouldn't recommend Jack Huff's to my worst enemy, let alone a friend. One star from me, and that's being generous.
